"There ain't no rainbows or unicorns or magical beings in this world."

Kira stared at the dark star sprinkled sky and pursed her lips. Her fingers held the locket she always wore around her neck but now lay in the palms of her hands.

"But she's not in this world anymore."

Gregory smiled and waved a hand in the darkness.

"Neither are you KiKi."

Kira followed the streak of silver in the sky and her palms felt cold with sweat, something she rarely felt anymore. Her fingers tightened around the locket and her legs forced her bottom of the ground, leading her to the edge of the clear ripple-free water.

There was no sight of an aquatic animal or even a living creature as Kira stared at her reflection glowing off the water.

"Goodbye KiKi."
