Spider-Teen is a new baby hero in the baby world who is also non-binary. Being a hero comes with a price, especially a non-binary one. Pen strives to make their life the best, even though their abusive grandma doesn't leave their family alone, their getting bullied at school, and one of their closest friends are spreading hateful rumors about them all around the school.
Plus, it doesn't help that Pen started to self harm themselves because of all the crap going on in their life.
