Spyro (classic version)
This is the original version of A New Beginning I wrote a long time ago, so take it with a pinch of salt! Its not great but marks a special place as the first thing I ever wrote that was available to the public to read. An important milestone in anyone's life. Try not to judge too harshly haha. A new, remastered version is now up on my profile for a much more mature take on the story. Thank you for all the incredibly encouragement and support I recieved on this title! : )Concluida

|| Book One of the Dragonkind Duology || 𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙛 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙩; 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣. For years, dragonkind and humankind had been at war, alternating between short-lived truces and all out warfare. In this age, however, humankind had subdued the proud dragonkind and turned them into slaves. Brands seared into their arms with the mark of a weeping dragon; the symbol of their defeat. Darin vehemently hated the mistreatment of the dragonkind, and when a branded runaway boy crossed his path, he made him his apprentice to protect him. Something had to be done. But in a strange turn of events, Darin found himself the leader of a peculiar band of travelers: His new apprentice, a brooding warrior, and an elven healer. Although he rarely traveled with others, he began to enjoy it as a long-term arrangement as days turned into weeks. Yet Amaredeia was still healing its war-ravaged wounds, and the cries of rebellion and anguish rose again. Could he really continue denying the calls of his apprentice's people?
