Natalia's life has been hell since the day she was born because of her deceased parents and the abusive man who stole her from a foster home, Mike. She has been abused by men her whole life, both physically and mentally, creating fear within her towards all males, but she is far from timid and weak.
Natalia is sassy, independent, strong, stubborn, and innocent in some ways. She has been through hell, but that doesn't prevent her from being happy and kind to everyone she meets.
When she meets Enzo Romano, her new boss at a bar she recently starts working at, her life changes drastically in ways she never thought it would.
Enzo Romano is the boss of the strongest mafia in the world, the Italian mafia. He is cold, ruthless, heartless, emotionless, and a jerk. The reasons for his awful behaviors are unknown to most, but those who do know recognize that he is a shell of the man he used to be due to the pain and guilt he buries within himself. He doesn't care about anyone or anything, but that will change when he meets Natalia.
Unbeknownst to her, he grows a soft spot towards her, and so does the monster within him, the side of himself most fear.
It doesn't take long for sparks to fly between the two, but neither are willing to submit to the undeniable chemistry. That is until a marriage deal is made...
