I stared down at my mother's bruised and broken body, tears streaming down my face.
She moved a shaky hand on top of mine.
"Claire, you have to stay strong. For your brother."
I smiled through the tears.
"Don't worry mother. You raised a soldier."

Claire Daniels can't ever look back.
She can only look forward.
After a shocking attack, Claire and her little brother are forced to leave the place they call home.
Little do they know being a rogue isn't easy.
But when Claire meets Keith, her whole world shatters.

"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.

WARNING: This novel contains depictions of Rape, Abuse and Violence. Read at your own risk. 18 year old Starr has never had it easy in life. Her mother died giving birth to her, her father turned into a deranged, violating wolf and to top it off she was forced to get married to an Alpha who acts more wolf than human. In this world where the strong reigns surpreme, how was a weak wolf like Starr supposed to survive? Especially with a recessive wolf that rarely interacted with her. Will her tormenting ever be over? 《Short Preview》 "You're marked by another," he stated cooly, his eyes drilling into the puncture wound that decorated my neck. Despite the calm his voice carried, my body shuddered at the pressure behind his words and the hidden dangers that laid beneath his gaze. I trembled and averted my eyes with pursed lips, trying my best to be brave. "So what? I'm a mated wolf now, which means I was never meant to be yours." His eyes narrowed in on my face as they swirled with reckless abandon. "What was made for me will forever be mine. That pup that you went and played with can't stop me from tearing that mark off your shoulder." My eyes snapped up to his in surprise as I gawked in disbelief... and a little ounce of foreboding at the man before me, "y-you can't do that!" He raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Are you gonna stop me?" I couldn't help but retort, "My mate would kill you!" His voice heightened as he finally lost his cool and snarled, "I'M YOUR MATE! There isn't a person on this earth that could kill me, let alone your bastard. You should be worried about what I'll do to HIM for forcing himself on MY WOMAN!" I flinched and took a few cautious steps backwards. Then I whispered, "who are you?" The man's lips tilted up into a ridiculing smile as he replied, "I'm the part of your soul that you chose to forsake."

Everything you could wish for at my fingertips. So why do I hate my life you ask? I open my door. "Do you need anything princess?" Dalton asks from his perch outside my door. "Will you ever go back to calling me Lilly?" I ask rolling my eyes at his formality. We grew up together and he was my best friend. Now that he works directly for my father he is bound by father's stupid rules. "You know I can't." Dalton says as he looks at the ground "Your father would kill me" "I'm going for a run." I say bluntly and turn my back to him. Dalton grabs my arm. "Wait you have to get permission" I twist out of his grasp and he grabs my other arm. Pulling me into him. "So concerned with my father Alt? What would he say if he saw us now?" I whispered in his ear. That got his attention and he released me on the spot. I step away and stand tall. "I could tell father and..." "You wouldn't" Dalton says with his stupid grin I havent seen seance we were pups. I lean in "Maybe, maybe not, who knows what might slip, Alt. You know I'm bad at keeping secrets." "NO! Come on please. I don't want to lose my position. (or my life) You wouldn't do that to me would you Lil?" I got him. As soon as I heard my name slip his lips I knew I'd won. "Tit for tat Alt. I keep your secret you keep mine. Now, I AM going for a run." Dalton rolls his eyes and reclaims his position at my door. "One hour" he says "or I'll tell your father myself!"
