A veteran named Andi talks about her struggles with mental illness, self harm, and suicidal thoughts.


War is terrible to hear about, but even more terrible to witness, something many soldiers and war heroes have to do. Andi went to war in Afghanistan and came home fine physically, but with a disorder many veterans face called PTSD. Andi, a proud and stubborn woman refuses to admit she needs help and bottles up her feelings. Her problems grow more intense, flashbacks grow more vivid and lifelike. She no longer wants to live. Will she get help? Or will anxiety and pain take her life?

Trigger warning: reference to self harm and suicide.
