Echo and her family moved to P.E.I in hopes of a better life, they left their old life, the city of Halifax. Echo never imagined just how hard it could be to fit in until she goes to Smithen highschool for her first year in grade nine. Trying to make friends, deal with the mounting problems at home and navigate herself as a lesbian in a homophobic school, this could be the year that will either make or break Echo.
