He cut himself off with a kiss. Beatrice was growing rather fond of these Sirius Black kisses. Above everything, she liked the risk of the kiss. The risk that someone might see, and their secret would be revealed. The risk of their families discovering everything. She liked that Sirius saw her as a risk too. Something to hold on to, something to fight for. She liked that Sirius had placed an immeasurable value on her; that he considered her something worth losing.

Beatrice had grown up hearing tales about Sirius Black. When she was young, they were tales of admiration and jealousy from her best friend, Regulus. But when they grew up, well, so did Sirius, and Beatrice was no longer allowed to see him.
But in her fourth year, she learns that Sirius can be quite persistent about the things that he wants, and things start to change.
But Sirius was everything her parents hated, and she couldn't have that. And Beatrice was everything his parents loved, and he really couldn't have that.
But how beautiful and dangerous to finally have something worth losing.
