She advanced towards me, one arm extended. Her fingers fell upon my forehead. Her touch sent icicles resonating through my skin and down into my bones. I felt my body going numb. “Sleep, now, girl. You’re mine,” She said. Her voice was like wind through a metal pipe, soothing and haunting. My eyes went heavy, and my knees weakened. Blackness circled my vision, and I collapsed, unconscious. People have told her strange tales of what went on in her house before Emily lived there, but she never believed them. One night, Emily discovers a secret deep within her new home, and is swept up in a tide of ancient history that could put her own life and the lives of her family at risk.
