Under the new regime of the dictator, all performers were condemned to be impure and the cause of society's sinful acts. Actors, singers, and dancers had been forced underground seeking refuge in seedy clubs and bars. Their path to survival is held in the hands of the one thing the new regime holds sacred - wealthy businessmen known to the performers as Patrons.

The idea of becoming someone else's property disgusts Wang Yibo. He has survived on his talent and wits so far, and has refused to bend for a Patron... but for how long can he survive like this?
