Evie is a rebel. A bookworm. An outcast. A writer. No one knows who she really is outside that distant emo personality. No one knows that she is Velvet Topaz, a famous writer. One dreary day, she meets a mysterious boy her age named Jaxon. He has a mysterious personality, uncannily like her book character, the one that had been in the book that made Velvet Topaz famous. Little does she know, he is on a mission to eliminate all authors, including herself. Jaxon can't help but admire Evie. But he doesn't know Evie is his author, one of the many he needs to eliminate. As far as he knows, Velvet Topaz is his author. How will this all play out? What will Jaxon do when he finds out Evie's true identity? Will all the authors be killed? Or will he find a way to defy destiny?
