I desperately searched for something I could use in defence. My eyes landed on a wooden twig, lying innocently on the forest floor. Time to hit him with the old Avada Kedavra. Grasping it, I pointed the end at him. "D-don't come any closer!" I stuttered, backing myself into a tree, hoping for a spell to burst out the stick. His silver eyes clouded over, turning a misty grey. "I'm not going to hurt you Alyssia," he stated calmly, his voice unwavering whilst taking a step closer, so that I could smell his strong cologne and minty breath. Giving in to the fact that I wasn't a witch and Hogwarts didn't want me, I threw it at him. He caught it with one hand, effortlessly, never breaking his gaze. Placing one arm above my head, he leaned his body against mine. I looked away from his silver orbs defiantly, which were clouded with an emotion I could not understand and screwed my eyes shut, my breathing heavy. "If I was going to kill you I would have done so already, like I was supposed to."
He's ruthless, cold-hearted, emotionless. She's broken, insecure, indifferent. But when staring into eachother's eyes, the tables turn. He reminds her of her dreams, confidence and ambition. She softens him in a way he couldn't control. For the first time in his life, he was overwhelmed by emotions, something he always saw as a weakness. With him, her strong side is brought out, but how long will it take for her to give in to his dominance, and for him to let go of his pride? But a deadly secret is looming, threatening to break them both.
"I will never ever let anything happen to you, you hear me? I would never let anyone or anything hurt you, and if anyone does hurt you, they'll never live to see another day."
She was completely melting under his fingertips, every molecule in her body giving into his cold, but gentle touch.
"You're mine and I'll kill everyone in the whole fucking world in an instant if it meant you'll be safe, got it?"
"Got it," she nodded, sniffling.
"Good."

In a million years, one would never see them look at each other the way they do now.
Care for each other the way they do now
Protect each other the way they do now.
Love each other the way they do now.
They were a beautiful mistake.
