This is a short story that I wrote for a essay contest about how I would survive a zombie apocalypse.
Just thought I would share it here.
There is two slightly different versions of the short story with alternate endings.

Disclaimer: I do not own The Walking Dead or it's characters. I only own and characters I make up along with any added plot and dialogue. Daryl Dixon x Grimes! Reader YN is Ricks younger sister. Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. And it doesn't hurt to focus on a certain redneck too.Concluida
The Lost Dixon // The Walking Dead
The tall, skinny man and young boy with a sheriff's hat, stood in the prison yard staring right back at me; bloody and wounded, basket full of formula in hand, the obvious look of exhaustion washed over me. The dead slowly turns their head and stares at me, smelling the fresh blood on my hand. I backed myself away, pulling out my knife. I found myself jabbing the walker in the head. Two more follow after me and the rest turn to the attention. I huffed out a breath, trying to catch it. My body grows too weak to keep myself standing, my vision grows blurry. My knees buckle together and I fall to the ground. My eyelids grow too heavy to keep open and I finally pass out. Reece is a lonesome ranger. She travels by foot and all on her own, avoiding any living person. When Reece spots a woman running through the dark woods, covered in smoke, she makes a decision to help her out or leave her to the dead. Little did Reece know, she would reunite with two special people again. **THIS STORY WILL START AT THE END OF SEASON 2 AND PICK UP IN SEASON 3.
