Would you rather leave your life behind, but in return, venture into a new one? Meet Morgan, a 13 year old girl from a small town. She is one of those girls you would look at and say, "Hey, I want to be like her." So why would she want to leave her life behind? She wants the freedom. Her parents are the best parents any kid could have, but they are very overprotective. So Morgan becomes a runner, leaving all of her friends behind in hopes of making new ones in The Land of the Runners. But there is one small problem. If she doesn't make it, her life will have to make some drastic changes, and not for the better. She won't be able to come in contact with her past life. Will Morgan achieve her goals, and will she make the journey?
