Percy haunted the shadows, her cousins by her side, as she watched the magical flitter amongst themselves, their robes flapping behind them in some twisted mockery of mortal superheroes.
Nico reached for her wrists as she lifted her head and forced her shoulders back so she could stride towards the dark, shabby pub, "Percy, are you okay with having to do this? We can say no to Hecate. We don't have to risk more things for people who never repay us for our sacrifices."
Her cousin's obsidian gaze bore deep into hers, as though he was searching for any form of doubt or reluctance. A cloud of grief screamed at her from where it clung to the depths of her heart. Percy stretched her lips into what she prayed was a smile, "All is well."
They would protect Albus Potter.
