"There's a party...." He began. "No way. My parents clearly said no parties in the list of things Mia shouldn't do, didn't they?" I said before he even finished.

This isn't gonna be good.
Mia Davila is a sweet girl but behind her pretty smiles lays something no one knows asides her family and her closest friends.
Mia has major depressive disorder and her parents her never around to care enough, according to them they're too busy.
Her dad's friend has a son... Max Kings. Max was Mia's friend when they were younger but since Max got into Highschool and Mia's parents began to homeschool her, their friendship fell apart.
Now Mia's parents are leaving for a really long time and they put Mia in the care of Max, Tara (Mia's only friend) and a bunch of maids in the house.
Max doesn't want this job though. What of his life? He can't dedicate all his extra time to a girl he hasn't spoken to in years so instead of following the rules in taking care of innocent Mia, he breaks them.
Things change of course.... relationships are re-created, friends are made, rules are broken, drama occurs, revelations are revealed and more.
