Athena Adelaide Mikaelson is the Original Tribrid daughter of the infamous Klaus Mikaelson. She was born way back when the Mikaelsons were human. After her mother, Adelaide, died giving birth, none of the Mikaelsons kept their promise to Adelaide. To show Athena what it means to be loved. When Athena finally snaps, she runs away to the Salvatore Boarding school with Katherine Pierce and Silas as her respective guardians. She becomes best friends with Lizzie Saltzman who also gets neglected by her family.
