All time travelers are gifted (or cursed... it depends on your situation) with soulmates. At their 21 birthday, they will stop aging temporarily, sent out to explore time and find their Belonging. A Belonging is the person that makes the time traveler stay, make them feel as if they belong in the time period with that person. So in short, a Belonging is a soulmate.
Its been almost two decades of wandering through time for Trinity. Nearly getting burned at the stake during the Salam Witch Trials, almost getting shot in the Battle of Somme, barely escaping execution during the Great Purge in the USSR and many more draining incidents has taken a toll on her. It's by chance that she stumbles into 1944 and finally meets her Belonging: Bucky Barnes, only to have him ripped away from her for 70 years.
She casts herself out of time radiating powerful energy behind her, SHIELD and the Avengers are called in to investigate a strange power source in the outskirts of New York.
Will she return when she realises Bucky is alive? Or will Bucky not remember her in time to stop her destroying the fabrics of space and time?
