***EDIT: 9/3/21 - Chapters 12 on will have some modifications to them. Took a break due to juggling some life things and also just knowing I would have to restructure some chapters. Blackshore didn't feel fleshed out, which this edits will fix. Changes in 12 are small, most of what's changed in 13 is at the beginning before the dinner (and a small line change between V and E conversation), and then 14 is brand new.  A world map has also been added to the top of Chapter 9; you can open the image in a new tab and see it in better detail.

After the last Guardian has gone, the magic world of Novarus enters a new era.  No longer feeling the need for the Guardians and their protection, the kings and queens of the land lead their people into prosperity and ready their children to take their place. Lucy however was hurt that her beauty seemed to be all that mattered in his decision. The next day Lucy and Jude left, both with sullen faces as Natsu watched, heartbroken. After a long talk with his mother about how to tell Lucy he loved her, he set off to find them. What he found was a dying Jude, claiming a great beast had kidnapped his beloved daughter. "It's not what it seems.....it's not what is seems." he had told him. His dying wish was for Natsu to save her. From that point on a determined fire blistering with heat and emotion lit inside his heart. Training everyday with his childhood best friend Jellal, he set his sights on the vermin that dared to take his princess. The whole Kingdom was convinced that she had died along with her father, but little did they all know that she had been cursed, hidden away within the confinements of the Forbidden Forest in the ruins of the Forgotten Fortress. Alone. Naked. Cold. Covered in blood that is just as likely to be mine as someone else's. I don't know who I am, where I am, or what I'm running from. All I get are flashes, snippets of dark shadows, sneering faces. Pain always follows these nightmares, these memories. I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be.
