Lavender Holmes and Enola Holmes are monozygotic twins. They are not similar to each other in appearance, which does not mean that in character either. Personality, interests, style, and even a sense of humor are the same.
On their birthday, the girls notice that their mother has disappeared. They try to solve a puzzle and find out where their mom disappeared. In the meantime, their brothers, a nationally known detective Sherlock Holmes and seven years older Mycroft Holmes, who is a clerk, return home after many years.
