Nela noticed Alfie shaking. "What are they doing to Peter?" he asked almost crying.
"It's OK. He might not be in total danger. Just relax." Nela didn't believe what she said at all, but it seemed to make him calm down a bit.
"Yeah... Maybe..." he said back.
But nobody could hear Peter's screams of agony.
An alien invasion? What could this mean? Children are missing all over the school. Nela, an intelligent 5th grade student, tries to figure out what is happening with her best friend Alfie, who isn't the brightest, but definitely cares.

The Invaders Must Die
By the year 2015 humans have developed practical means of interstellar travel, but as they expand further out into the Milky Way, they disturb a previously unknown race of alien beings.
