She finally feels like she fits in with her friends, and her crush, Michael Murphy, finally starts paying attention to her. But when her sister starts to act out and another boy walks into her life, Drace's life starts falling down around her. --- The window wasn't wide enough to fit the width of her shoulders, so she stuck her head out, then pivoted her body to allow for her shoulders. After that it was pretty simple, almost like doing a pull-up at the gym, she simply grabbed onto the top of the window for support and pulled the rest of her body through, then dropped to the ground as stealthy as a cat. Drace pulled the window closed as best as she could from outside, leaving it open just a hair so she could climb back in. She was feeling pretty proud of herself right up until she heard someone behind her say, "Wow. Well done." She turned around to find Michael leaning against the side of the garage. He was a good twenty feet from where she stood, and if he hadn't said anything, she was sure she would have missed him. He was wearing all black, with a leather jacket and a beanie. And a pair of sunglasses rested on his nose. In the middle of the night. Drace had suspected before, but now she knew for sure; Michael Murphy was the coolest person in the world.
