Tommy was like Icarus. He was soaring ever closer to the sun. He didn't notice his wings melting. He didn't care until he came plummeting to the earth. Tommy lost everything. But that's not what really happened. Wilbur begged Phil to take his life but the blond had another idea. Phil, Wilbur and Technoblade left to save the broken President but left Tommy behind. They had no idea that in doing that, they created their new enemy. In other words, Sam didn't expect to have a discussion with Tommy about the fact that both of them were victims to hearing voices, but he was grateful that Tommy trusted him enough to tell him.
