"Excusez-moi. Parles-tu coréen?"

"Oui. Why?" I asked, switching to Korean.

He breathed a sigh of relief, his lips curling into an awkward yet grateful smile, "Thank you so much. I've been so confused."

I chuckled, "New to the French life?"

He nodded sheepishly, "Very. I came here for a one year foreign exchange program. I can barely speak anything, I've been practicing that one phrase the whole time."

"Well...then it's a good thing you ran into me. Let's start with our first lesson! Saying who we are. To introduce yourself, you say 'je m'appelle' which basically means 'my name is.' So...je m'appelle Suji. Et toi? That means 'and you?'"

He gulped, "Je m'appelle Yoongi?"

I clapped my hands excitedly, "Parfait! You're a natural! I think you and I are going to have some fun!"

*I thought I'd show off my French skills in this, but I know not everyone speaks French. Don't worry, the book will not entirely be in French at all. If there are phrases of French in the chapter, I will translate them at the top in a word bank! Maybe you guys can pick up a bit of French too 😊

*Also disclaimer, I'm not French. I'm learning it in school so if anyone speaks native French and sees something off lmk!
