"Sometimes I have struggles. Sometimes it's with my friends, sometimes it's with my love life, sometimes it's with just feeling stable. With him it was all three wrapped into one big perfect mess. It may not have started this way but the boy was like the sun shining on my skin. I loved him." - Zach

Zach Alaric is a 17 year old high schooler whom to most seems to have the typical teenage life. The kicker to this reality is the anxiety often leaving his social life small and confined to his home. While attempting to get out of the house, Zach will encounter many new things. Including the benefits of a "teen romance crap."

This coming-of-age story highlights the challenges of mental health struggles alongside the triumphs of young love and friendship.

Miles is nervous and quiet. He graduated early to escape the bullying and chaos of high school, but adulthood hasn't offered the escape he had hoped for. Isolated and adrift, he struggles with panic attacks, loneliness, and memories that refuse to stay buried. His world shifts when he meets Atticus. Confident, kind, and impossible to ignore. Miles quickly begins to crave the connection he never thought he deserved. As their relationship deepens, so does Miles's hope that maybe someone could love him enough to help him heal, but the past has a way of catching up. Because love, as beautiful as it is, doesn't always drown out the noise, and silence can be louder than anyone realizes. Set against a backdrop of late-night parties, quiet heartbreaks, and moments of painful honesty, Loud Silence is a slow-burning, coming-of-age story about identity, survival, and the terrifying hope of letting someone in. This is the first long-form story I've ever written. I would love feedback as long as it's respectful. This story has been swirling around my head for years, and I'm excited to finally fight against my own anxiety and put it out into the world. ⚠️ Trigger & Content Warning ⚠️ Loud Silence contains boy x boy romance and deals with heavy mental health themes, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, abuse (emotional, physical, and sexual), sexual identity struggles, and death. I do everything I can to portray these themes honestly and respectfully. Reader discretion is strongly advised. The Limits of Love

29 parts Complete Mature

Fred is your typical teenager; moody, has low-self esteem, and is really bad at math. The only thing that makes him different from the other guys is his taste in music and his sexuality. He knows what he wants right from the start, but is scared of other people thoughts and judgements, and that's why he's kept himself inside the closet ever since he realized he's not really into girls. He tried to hide it from everyone else, even to his close circle of friends, but all of his plans started going south when he meets their new neighbor, Darren, a very handsome fellow who moved to Los Angeles with his family all the way from South Korea to live at the house on the other side of the road. Fred falls for him at first-sight, and things started to escalate when he found out that they were on the same class, and things got even more deeper when Darren agreed to be his tutor in calculus. That's when he realized that his hiding needed to stop. Witness as the two of them struggle with their hardships, relationships, and responsibilities in life as they try to keep their friendship intact from a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Will they manage to keep their relationship as it is, or will it develop into something more, that even an ocean spanning miles and miles couldn't completely separate them from one another?
