"What's up, blogosphere? Jacob Ben Israel here, back on the street with an exclusive look at McKinley's newest celebrities, the New Directions!"
Emily still didn't particularly like Jacob Israel - she wasn't sure anyone actually did by this point -, but for the first time, she didn't feel the need to hide from him. After all, she had everything she could possibly want and that was definitely going to be Emily Marshall's year.
"Twitter says you are still dating Hobo McBieber." Jacob said, as he struggled to keep up with Emily as the girl walked down the hallways. People stepped away from her as she passed - parting like the Red Sea for the most popular girl at school - but none of them actually cared enough not to bump into Jacob. And it wasn't as if Emily was about to say anything about it.
"Yes, I am."  She nodded, a smile on her lips as Jacob still struggled to walk beside her.
"And you are the head cheerio now, part of two of the most popular clubs in McKinley with two National Championships from last year and officially dating a football player." Jacob said, as Emily just smirked, feeling better about herself than she had in weeks. "How does it feel being you?"

Winnie rolled her eyes, already annoyed and it was only ten in the morning of her first day of school. She could hear JBI's voice down the hallway and she was sure he was coming her way, but she couldn't tell for sure if she was annoyed at him or at Tina, who walked beside her with Dottie, a freshman she had, somehow convinced to follow her around all day everyday. Now, Winnie had kept her promise. When Mike left, she had stuck by Tina. The two of them had helped each other, working together through missing the boy, but, as soon as the last week of summer rolled around, Tina started to change. She started to become self-obsessed and she suddenly turned into a bigger diva than Rachel Berry herself, always talking about the solos she wanted to have at glee or how much her voice had improved with the years. Winnie was about 90% sure all of this was just some weird copying mechanism Tina had created to deal with Mike's absence, but it drove Winnie insane. Still, she stuck by Tina anyway, more out of habit than anything else, but with Mike gone and Tina's new attitude, Winnie wasn't sure how much more of this she'd be willing to take. The New Directions hand celebrates the life of former quarterback and New Directions member Finn Hudson, and one student is struggling to come to terms with it. Ashleigh believes she has the best plan to win Nationals, but she doesn't take the glee club's criticism too well when the students accuse her of being too controlling. Dedicating their performance to Finn's memory, New Directions arrive in Los Angeles to take part in the National High School Show Choir Championship and face off against "Throat Explosion," their fiercest competition to date. The original members of New Directions and Ashleigh reunite at McKinley to celebrate and reflect on the history of the seemingly doomed club. Ashleigh comes face-to-face with a hate crime and is left in the hospital.
