It's been five years after Kirito and Asuna were brought back from the underworld, after dating and living with each other, life continues to be a blessing. They still have connections to their friends from ALO and GGO. But when a new company has some new plans, Kirito and his friends are again tested to see how far their group can go. When a familiar face is spotted it's up to our heroes to find out what is going on.

She is drawn to him, though she does not understand why. But she wants to know why he is alone, why he fights solo. Since the "Sword Art Online Progressive" movie is dropping this year, I thought it was perfect timing to write my own version of this arc with my own twist on it. The story focuses on Kirito waking up after beating the death game of "Sword Art Online" and learning that Asuna isn't awake, yet. Not being able to handle the guilt, he loses all of the swagger and confidence that he once had in the original game. Kirito learns that Asuna is in a different VR world and with the help of his friends and sister, he must save Asuna from a threat unlike anything that he faced in the original "Sword Art Online."
