George was never really a violent person, even with his secret. He always tried to find the best in people. So when one of the 'cool' kids starts to make fun of George, he thought nothing out of it. Thought it would be a one-time thing. That all changed when his bully tried to kill him. Tempered rage is a charismatic thing. Clay enjoys watching when bottled up rage finally lets itself out. To say the least, Clay liked the emotional chaos and the physical violence that followed. So when his soulmate happened to be the kid that set the school on fire to prove a point he was ecstatic. George's brother, Nick, was shocked but happy his brother had finally let himself loose.

Clay struggles with home life, and his social life isn't the greatest either. George on the other hand is the popular kid in school, having no issues at home and no issues with his social life. George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.Lengkap

Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again".
