The Prey is an episodic short story that throws light on societal issues and mainly to be mentioned is racism. In these times where social injustices have risen above significance, this story aims at highlighting the effects that may look surmountable in the near future if not controlled now. However, the story does not use any specific geographical location but makes use of fictional settings and as a result the reader is left to compare the fictional settings with the real life places where social injustices take place on regular basis.
