Hope Mikaelson has always been a loner, not because people don't like her but because she chooses to. She's afraid of letting people in since people she loves the most, end up dying on her. But what happens when she soon finds out she is mated to Josie Saltzman, the girl she has always tried to stay away from. Temptation, temptation.
On a drunken night, Josie Saltzman kisses her and Hope almost losses control in front of her, but before she does, she runs to the dark forest. Runs to protect Josie but most of all, she runs to protect herself.
She tries to bury her feelings for the Saltzman but she can't run away from it forever. It always catches up with you EVENTUALLY. Always.
