Why has no one done a story on SHADOW MONKEY YET?!!!
So here I am with my one.
An AU where Monkey is to late to teleport with Monkey and Trip. Takes place when Shadow kidnaps Trip at the burnt sands and Monkey is to late to jump on the portal with them.

Trip is confused at why she doesn't hate Shadow Monkey. He's having the same problem. 
Trip deals with the worry that she locked up Shadow is annoyed at why he can't kill her. Trip soon gets the memory's of a demon queen. Who that demon queen is she has to find out. The Demon Queen Hakuru has a history with the infamous Monkey king.

Macaque sets out on a journey to find answers about his powers, and information on the Nine Headed Demon before MK and the others get hurt. Through his journey he encounters many leads, friends, and enemies. Macaque has to fight not only demons on his journey, but inner demons as well. Will Macaque become, Lost in Chaos? --- This story takes place directly after the events of season 5 in LMK. --- This story will have blood in it, as well as angst. It will dive into the pasts of Macaque and Wukong. As well as the pasts of the Nine Headed Demon. Characters from both the book and the show will appear in this, as well as some from Chinese mythology. The story has a slow progression but one you don't want to miss! This is intended as a YA Fiction. --- There is a prologue for those who haven't watched the show, or read the book, in chapter 1! (It sets up a little bit of the premise without revealing too many spoilers!) --- I am also trying to follow Chinese mythology and also the original journey to the west book. When Pigsy both sent the two out for noodle deliveries, MK went to deliver his stack of noodles, while you did your deliveries, and while you did your deliveries, you found a staff, for a second, you thought it was Monkey King's staff, but it was black highlighted with gold. Without thinking, you picked it up and felt a surge of power through you, and that's when you met Macaque. He looked almost like Monkey King, but with black fur. He saw the staff in your hands and explained to you that only he could pick it up, but when he saw you holding it, he decided to take you under his wing, and make you his successor. So from that point, you trained to be a warrior and fought demons along with your brother. A/n-The reader has the exact same powers Macaque has, like aquatic breathing, enhanced hearing, Shadow Manipulation, Shadow Cloning, Shadow Monkeys, Shadow Transportation, Shadow Hiding, Smoke Generation, and shape-shifting.
