Shane Erickson has loved only one woman since he was 15 years old. They met there freshman year of high school. The night of senior prom, he promised Sorsha Williams that he would love her forever and always. But the next day Sorsha disappeared and not even her family knew where she was or where she went. She was just missing and Shane was broken hearted. In the following years, Shane stayed true to his love while at the same time working his way up to become president of one of the most feared MC clubs in the country. On the one year anniversary of Sorsha's disappearance and the following 10 years after that, Shane receives a postcard with nothing on it except the sentence "I will always love you."
