Artemis is a normal girl, except for one detail. She suffers from Chronic Social Anxiety Disorder, meaning she gets panic attacks whenever she's around other people. Eventually, Artemis gets fed up with her hometown and sets off for an adventure. She's got no idea where she's going, but she knows that she's never going to be able to learn to live her life is she doesn't get out of town. 
Before her adventure can even start, Artemis manages to get on the wrong bus and end up at a rest stop in the absolute middle of no where. However, this mistake could turn out to be just the thing she needed.

While working a job in some middle of nowhere rest stop along the highway, Sam and Dean Winchester meet Artemis, a very strange girl that surprises even them. The brothers quickly notice that, even though she manages to take out a spirit without hesitation or fear, Artemis can barely function in everyday life. The Winchester boys can't help but be fascinated by this unique girl and her natural talent for hunting.
