San Francisco is a city run on blood and held together by secrets. Decades ago, large scale terrorist attacks corrupted humanity in gruesome, unsightly ways, giving birth to a generation of supernaturals. Today, the city is plunged in eternal darkness, serving as a haven for the starved and wicked alike. 

Vivian is a woman trained in the art of asking questions and sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. Pulling at the threads of the city's inner workings has become her new favorite hobby, but it soon becomes clear that curiosity will kill more than a cat.
