Esme and Irene are the younger sisters of Merlin. Their village is attacked and their mum goes to get help from the king of Camelot. 

Merlin knew he had sisters but the last time he saw them was when they were three and he accidentally used magic on them, his mum had kept his sisters away from him worried that might happen again.

what they didn't know was that while their mum tried to teach Merlin magic the two little girls were listening in trying their best to take control of their own magic, magic that connected would be the most powerful, by them selves they were more powerful then Merlin himself
