She ran down the stairs hurriedly, tears still blinding her temporarily as she tugged on her suitcase. Reaching for the door knob, she stopped when her mom suddenly called out to her in a strange , almost unrecognisable voice. "I promise you Abby, the moment you go to that woman's house, your life would never be the same", she said, her voice almost in a whisper. But Abby didn't care, she'd had enough. She was leaving, and that was final. She turned the knob and stepped out , but a strange, chill ran over her making her wonder "Am I doing the right thing?" .. This story is purely fictional, a figment of my imagination. And events/occurrences, names, people , places that coincide with real life things, are just that; coincidental . It may be a small town. But it has its many secrets. ----------------------------- One of the ladies had orange hair tied back in a bun. She had on a dark red, long-sleeved shirt, a matching skirt that touched her knees, and black heels. The other lady had short, blond hair and was wearing a dark green, long-sleeved shirt, a matching skirt that also touched the knees, and grey heels. "Wendy. Tris," Winnie said. "These women would like to talk to you." "Are you Wendy and Tris?" the orange-haired girl asked. She was holding a black suitcase. "We are," Wendy responded. "Who wants to know?" I added. "I am Lila Sage, and this is my assistant, Cara Cline. We are certified lawyers who represent Kara." "Kara?" Wendy and I said in unison. "Yes," Cara said. "We would like you to come with us to her house. The house where Kara died in." ----------------------------- If you like adventure, mystery, humor, or cliffhangers, then this is the book for you!
