She watched the waves crash up upon the shore. The salty aroma surrounding her was just reminding her about the tear that was currently falling gently down the side of her cheek, so cold and red it looked as if it had just been slapped. It felt like it had too. Another tear came shortly after the last as she stood and stared down at the small drops of blood that seemed to have stained the rocks. The water would soon wash it away, but it nor the alcohol could never wash away the memories of last night.
