Raindrops

The sound of thunder shook the room, drowning out the whimpers of the frightened children.
"Settle down children...everything is okay its just a small sto-" The Women's voice was cut off by the bang of the front door and screamin of the children. "It's just the door kiddo's everything is fine!" The women headed down to the front door, hiding her fright. She wondered who could be her at such a late time of day, and in the middle of a storm . What she open the door to was surely a surprise, a child, neither boy or girl, human or monster, Violet eyes bore into the women's chocolate orbs. She could do nothing but scoop the child up holding them close sheltering them from the harsh weather outside. She scoured the area, no one was around. She let out a small sigh and started rocking the crying child.
"Hush now little monster, Annie's got you" She steped back into the house craddling their small head. "Joesph! Hunny get the children i have someone i want you to meet."
