Elpis Galyna Carpenter, a beautiful girl of twelve summers old, lives in a village with her mother, Caselda Anne Carpenter, a palace maid, and her father Jareff Carpenter, a palace farmer. To clear her mind from one of her nightmares that have been haunting her since childhood, Elli takes a refreshing run to her favourite spot on the nearby shore, a spot under a particular cliff holding certain fading dreams and promises.
