Evelyn and her mother are constantly moving, running from their past, but what happens when they run into the wrong town?

What happens when Evelyn catches the eye of the most dangerous man in town, one that she can't run from. One that no one can protect her from. Will she find a way out? Will she be intrigued by the danger?

"You must be new here" the man said with a sinister smile.
"You should know that it's not good to be wandering around at night" he spoke as his hand loosened from my mouth and moved to my throat.
"Or to be getting into business that's not yours." He added threateningly as his hand tightened around my throat. Before anything else could be said, I took the opportunity to scream.
"Help!" I yelled hoping someone could hear me. Before I could say anything else, his hand gripped my throat to the point that I couldn't breathe.
"Shut the fuck up" he spit threateningly in my ear.
