Haida Sohma is the newest student at Ouran Academy. He is the fourteenth cursed Sohma, but not a member of the zodiac.
The raccoon was never invited to the infamous banquet all of the other animals were invited to. Considered far too dirty to be invited by God.

His sprit sometimes doesn't reincarnate but every so often. It'd been a few generations since a raccoon was born in the Sohma family, so his birth had been a surprise. The raccoon had been thought to be gone before he was born.
He basically was in the same boat as Kyo; a beastly outsider among his family. Another shameful stain on their family name.

Haida is counting his days till he graduates high school, then he will spend the rest of his days in a glorified cage on the Sohma property as every raccoon before him had done. His life has no meaning as his future is predetermined.

Yet coming into contact with a certain host club may give him some hope. And perhaps could change everything.
