[This is a short story written for English class. Credit to my classmate and friend Anna, who was also part of this project.] Fay and Amanda have been dating for 3 years now. The finish line is within sight as Amanda proposes to Fay, a 25 year old Hispanic woman. During their time in a café planning the wedding, Fay notices people staring at them. Has it always been like this, or did the proposal change things? Is Fay gonna change her mind after 3 years of dating and 10 years of friendship? [TW] This short story contains homohobia and racism, please read at your own risk.

This isn't related to this story but, Hi i'm Kate. this is my first fully written story, though its only a short story i'm very proud of myself for fully committing to one theme and finishing it. This short story is very over dramatic and complicated because its my first story but I hope you enjoy. Description: "What are your summer plans?" My teacher asks the class. My classmates respond with the basic responses, vacation, beach, and hanging out with friends. I respond with vacation, but I don't even want to go to Orange County. It's not too far from where I live, but Sana Cruz and OC is a long drive. The bell rings, that means it's summer, that means I have to spend a whole summer away and with my dad, but my friends and I have plans to go have a bonfire at the peer tonight so at least ill have that before I leave all summer.
