In this story, Danny Fenton was trained by his mother on how to fight and how to use Ghost equipment by his father. It all started when he was 5 years old. And when he got his powers, he was trained by his Ghostly allies and became a very powerful Halfa! But, one day he fought Pariah Dark, the King of all Ghosts and defeated him...becoming the King of all Ghosts! He became the most powerful Ghost in all of existence. One day, Danny fought against his archenemy, Vlad Plasmius who caused an asteroid to show up, but he was able to save the Earth by ordering all of the Ghost to make it intangible. When Vlad's plans were ruined...he decided to take his mother by force and kill his father. So he sacrificed himself to take Vlad out for good. Danny woke up in the afterlife as a full Ghost. After that, Danny Fenton was no more. He became the superhero of Amity Park and King of all Ghosts known as...Danny Phantom! But someone wants to rule everything with him out of the way!

Now that the world has become more accepting of ghosts due to them helping save the world, the ghosts have lost interest, & those who haven't lost interest are a bit too scared of Danny to fight him. With this being the case the value of "The Ghost Boy" has become pretty much useless & so even Skulker & Walker have lost interest. Not only have they all lost interest but they have become somewhat of a group of allies for Danny, to Danny's surprise. But now that the whole world knows of Danny, a much darker problem arises. It turns out that ghosts weren't the only supernatural force to worry about & they definitely weren't the most dangerous. This danger is unlike anything Danny has fought before & he will have to rethink his entire life: trust those who he shouldn't: go to a much more mature, darker place, in order to defeat them. But not only is Danny's family in danger, but these forces are out for blood. People will suffer, & unless Danny can find the hope & courage to push himself harder than he ever has before, the whole world might meet its end. Danny must accept & understand that this isn't a simple case of ghost hunting anymore. These dangers can hide & Danny can't sense them. They are undetectable within the darkness, & move like whispers in the wind. This is a game of shadows & silence. The question is: will Danny win, or is this the end of everything Danny has worked so hard to protect over the years?

It has been three years since Amity Park first saw ghosts, and now it was uncommon to go a day without an explosion or fight of some kind. Heroes have shown up, the Red Huntress, the GIW, The Fenton's, and Phantom. Danny Fenton used to be an A+ student; he was going to go on to be an astronomer, an astronaut, and live out his dreams of visiting the stars. No one really knows what happened to the bright kid he used to be, but he was now failing practically every class, and if he wasn't sleeping in class, he was missing half of it. No one knows what happened to the bright young star, but they want to. Danny Phantom is the Ghost Prince. After defeating the prior Ghost King, every entity in the Ghost Realm was preparing for his coronation. The day his body turns eighteen years old, he will be the Ghost King. However, they cannot have a halfling as their king, so the only viable option is to kill his human half. Thankfully that has already been written into the coronation process. They just need to collect the ingredients for the potion. Danny Phantom would rather not be king, but he doesn't get a say in the matter. - The title is from the song Dark on Me from Starset. I just thought it was kind of cool. I started writing this a while ago, and I have a few parts already written, but I am going to hold off on posting them because I have a habit of procrastination, so maybe waiting to post for a few days or so will help me actually update it. I've also been updating this on Ao3 if anyone would prefer to read it there :) All of the Chapter Titles are lyrics to the Starset song Echo.

Danny Fenton is just another person like the rest of us. He goes to school, he sleeps, eats, and lives. Only half way though for that last one. While not dead, he isn't alive. Danny is a halfa. Half alive and half dead; half boy and half ghost. It's hard enough keeping that a secret from ghost hunting parents. After the Disasteriod incident though, it has gotten harder to fake being normal. And a field trip with his class to the place filled with both allies and friends of his isn't the best way to keep a secret either. With something crawling out of the shadows for revenge, this trip can only lead to nothing good. Maybe they'll make it out safe. Maybe the bad guy isn't who you think. Why did my family, friends and teacher had to suffer because of me?! I was losing it. Bit by bit. Surely but slowly. Piece by piece. I heard one specific voice and I recognized it as Vlad's voice. My anger boiled again. He was partially the cause of this. I hate him. I hate everything. Vlad walked over to me and I glared at him."Little Badger. I'm your legal guardian now. Please come with me." He said."No." I growled."What?" He said."I said no!" I said a little louder."What is happening here?" The same officer asked that helped me."Nothing." Vlad said.
