Sherlock Holmes's life was weird already. But when a relative he doesn't care about dies mysteriously and leaves a not-quite-21 year old American prodigy daughter with a suitcase of books and forensics equipment to him, he has to step up. HAHA YEAH RIGHT. He has absolutely no idea what he's doing and ignores the new pest as long as he can. But he never reasoned that she could be kind, and quiet, and brilliant, curious, as strong willed as him, and just as broken. Or that she'd teach him more than any book he can buy. However, it's quite dangerous to have two sociopaths in a flat. John will readily tell you when he and Mary popped in to see a lovely fire in the microwave because they just HAD to find out what happened when a cactus is heated for five hours straight. Both were oblivious. But aside from that they can be quite the duo. Only trouble is... That's the only deduction Sherlock can't make. With an ensemble of unlikely characters, her life in London is a mystery all it's own.

Sherlock Holmes is not a very social man. He's a consulting detective and the only one in the world, so by the process of elimination, that makes him the best. However, being such a detective doesn't leave much time for friends, or even romance. Well, until he meets John Watson. John Watson is a soldier who has just returned from war. He has a psychosomatic limp and he misses the war, even if he doesn't care to admit it. Naturally, when the possibility of sharing a flat with the world's only consulting detective arises, he jumps at the chance and instantly befriends the strange character. But it friendship the furthest that Sherlock and John are willing to go with each other? Or is the world-famous detective deducing new things about himself?
