All Percy wants after the war with Gaea is to spend time with his girlfriend Annabeth and not get attacked by any more monsters. The couple decides to take a break from life in New York and go to Beacon Hills, California to live with Percy's cousin, Scott McCall. However, their vacation turns out to be not as relaxing as they'd hoped. Percy doesn't know if he's just being paranoid (like most demigods are) or if something really is going on with his cousin, but he knows one thing- there is more to this small town than what meets the eye.
