More powerful than Zeus and so he banished her from ever stepping foot on Olympus because he was afraid she would dethrone him. She decided she would live in the mortal world and become a Queen for the mortals to worship to make Zeus jealous.

Aldeline was in New York on a business meeting when she got a tip from her second in command that her son (Adopted) Damon was having problems with the supernatural creatures in Mystic Falls.
