Draco considers his life exceptionally ordinary; he attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, goes to quidditch practice every morning, and stays up late studying for class and exploring future endeavors.
Living in alternate realities, it is seemingly impossible that the two individuals would ever cross paths.
Draco's life takes an unexpected turn when he begins to experience another being's sense of hearing. He struggles to focus in class, as he is continuously interrupted by the unknown individual. Draco's frustration is accompanied by curiosity; he longs to know the other being.
Rae and Draco possess the ability to communicate with each other across separate realities, an ability known as Cross Reality Manipulation (CROM).
As Draco experiences the negative consequences of CROM, Rae is completely unaware of their shared ability.
Cracked under immense pressure, Draco breaks down. This is when Rae's CROM abilities suddenly awaken.
