The mortal children of the constellations somehow end-up being the Zodiacs. Now obviously the immortals would reject them and try to finish them off, all the while the "Exterior Forces" trying the same thing. And it wouldn't make matters any better if they started fighting among themselves and hide secrets from each other and break each other's hearts. Aquarius hates Aries for being an impulsive jerk. However Aquarius isn't the son of the saint that he claims he is. Leo is annoyed by Scorpio for trying to steal his spotlight and Scorpio-well, she basically hates everyone. There are a lo of other examples but you'd have to read the book to find out.
