After the murder of the Heather Family...

He gave up on being the heir.
He gave up on being a swordsman.
He gave up on being a Prince.

Osmund Hesper, adopted son of the Hesper Royal Family, decided to be his Sister Adrienne Hesper's slave instead, doing all the 'female' jobs whereas Adrienne took care of the 'male' chores.

They didn't follow a single unspoken rule, stereotypes or whatever.

The Royal Family lived upon a hill, the Palace behind which the Moon hung at the lowest, the Palace whose the bridge overlooked the city, the Palace which is rumored to have been cursed even by Witches and Wizards.

And Osmund truly believed in Adrienne.

Even when she came back with dozens of corpses, drenched in sweat and blood, Osmund's faith never broke.
If needed, he'd even protect her by 'justifying' her acts.

However, maybe it was something acquired or inherited, because...
Osmund was more 'inhumane' than Adrienne.
