Jason wasn't expecting to end up with bubbly, sweet class body president as his ruthless, bloodthirsty Clash Of Villains partner and he certainly didn't expect the instant attraction between them to become something more.

Together in Paris, the city of love, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Jason Todd live together in her warm bakery practicing their online fighting skills when they're not fighting crime in real life.

Distracted by heroism, school, work and play, the two barely have time to fall in love. Yet, spectacularly, they manage.

They fall together, as civilians, as partners, as heroes and even as trauma survivors. After all they've been through...they could survive anything -can't they?

Yet the more time they spend getting to know their Clash of Villains partner, the more information they have, the more suspicious they come and they start to pull away from one another.

Lies push people apart.

Secrets destroy others.

Do they learn to accept each other despite their pasts, their secrets and their uncertain futures, or will they accept the loneliness as a permanent part of their lives...?

Big brother Jason and little sister Marinette Todd are not normal people, but have a dangerous secret: they are werewolves. Separated at a young age while living in the streets of Gotham, the Todd siblings fight to survive in a world where everyone hates half-blood hybrids like them. Jason's adoptive family, the Wayne's, have no idea about anything of Jason's past or dark secret, while Marinette's adoptive family, the abusive Dupain-Cheng's, know everything and hate her for it. As a result of their hatred of Marinette, the bakers forbid her to go out as her wolf or tramsform, and they do not take care of her by any means, only making her life terrible to the point where she's afraid of herself. Then Lila comes and makes her life even more of a living hell to where she wants nothing to do with life and is as broken as anyone can come, especially when the class finds out her secret and are always hunting her down. Mari eventually has had enough with Paris, so she runs away and leaves the country, running back home to Gotham, where she lives on the streets and is quickly having people hunting her for money and her fur. Will Marinette find Jason and be saved? Will he be able to help his little sister, or will they both have to depend on the Kent family for protection against Gotham and Paris? There is no hawkmoth or kwamis. Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Jason Todd have been best friends since they were little kids, before Jason fled to the streets of Gotham. Both raven-haired kids grew up with identical pasts and backgrounds, and both connected with each other because of it. The two honorary siblings quickly became adoptive siblings after Jason fled to the streets after his dad went to jail and mom died, thanks to Sabine Dupain-Cheng adopting him at Marinettes begging and pleading, much to Tom Dupain's anger. Jason had Sabine and Mari's hearts and love for him, and the two had his, but never had Tom's, not that he cared. He hated the man because of the way he treated Mari and Sabine, which was like his bio father did to him, and Tom hated him because he'd lived in the streets and wasn't biologically part of the Dupain-Cheng family, so he got treated the same, but the abuse was 10x as bad. All Jason and Mari cared was that they had each other, and that they would be ok if they had each other by the other's side. But everything changed when Tom had finally had crossed the line, and that was the line that would change the siblings forever. 10 years later, Jason was adopted by billionaire Bruce Wayne aka Batman, has 7 other adoptive siblings, and is Red Hood... whenever he isn't traveling the world, looking for his beloved Pixie Pop. Marinette thinks her older brother is dead, and she lives alone with Tom. Hawkmoth is defeated, and the young Gothamite is broken beyond imagining. Can Jason, and maybe the rest of the Wayne family, bring the light back into her eyes and help her? Or will everything get a whole lot worse for her and Jason? Class salt, abusive Tom, assassin Nino, depression, broken Mari, broken Jason, overprotective Jason and Wayne family, Maribat, Bruce adopts Mari Note: I do not (unfortunately) own dc or mlb.
